Turmeric deserves more than smoothies and golden milk

By QA Test Member · June 21, 2026
In South Asian, Caribbean, and North African cooking, turmeric has been a flavor and color architect for centuries. Fresh turmeric root is entirely different from powder — earthy, slightly bitter, resinous. The dried powder mutes that and emphasizes the color. It is a spice first. Everything else is secondary.
